I grew up in Seattle studying music with my twin brother, before attending Stanford University where I received a B.A. in Music, Science, and Technology.

I moved to New York and studied at NYU in the Musical Theater Writing Program, and joined BMI's Musical Theatre Workshop as a composer. Along the way, I composed a few brand new musicals and worked on the music team for Hamilton, in addition to other projects all over the country and abroad.
